if you've never seen it, it's based on angela's (claire danes) high school years and family life. watching her, i cringe inwardly recalling some of my own similar experiences. i watched the pilot and first episode last night, and perhaps will watch the next one while the girls nap later. that will conclude the first disc, and i'll hopefully get the 2nd one later this week or early next (we're doing Netflix now).
on another note, i bought some everyday-type cloth napkins yesterday and plan to stop using paper ones at meals.
and did you know later this month, Whole Foods is going to completely stop offering/using plastic bags at checkout? Why can't places like Wal-Mart and Target follow suit? Yesterday I also used my cloth grocery bags on my various errands and turned down others offered to me. It made me feel really good. It's the little things, I guess.
