**My good friend Alyssa over at
Bloggin 2 Noggin just did a
hilarious post about last week's antics. Go read it. And I promise not to say anymore about the matter.**

Let's Have a Cocktail told me about the protein shakes she makes for breakfast using EAS Premium Protein Powder from Costco. Most mornings
in my failing quest to be a skinny supermodel I cut up a banana, slice a few strawberries
and sometimes my finger, and sprinkle a few blueberries into my blender. I add 10 ounces of skim milk and 2 scoops of the chocolate protein powder. Et voila--breakfast, especially filling and good for on-the-go
since I am a failure and we are constantly rushing to get out the door on time.
While I am enjoying these smoothies, I can't have them every day because
I am a slacker and we run out of fresh fruit I get tired of the same old thing. And when I do, I turn to the one and only Martha Stewart. She's so perfect it should be illegal. I am a Martha Stewart Fail. But this one breakfast idea caught my eye because it's so easy
even a monkey like me can make it , healthy, quick, and delicious. Folks, let me introduce you to my new lover:
Whole Grain Toast With Yogurt and Pistachios.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons nonfat Greek yogurt (I use the Fage brand)
2 slices whole-grain toast
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon shelled pistachios
Directions:
Spread nonfat Greek yogurt on whole-grain toast. Drizzle each slice with honey. Sprinkle each with shelled pistachios. Serve immediately.
Thank you, Martha Stewart! I love this breakfast!

It couldnt get any easier than that..Yummmm...Thanks Erin...and thanks for the tips from last post..Have A Great Day..!
Looks yummy.
Before we compare ourselves too closely to Martha, let's ask this question - Who went to jail? If the answer isn't Erin, then we know who the real Martha Stewart fail is.
Martha Stewart creeps me out a bit. There's something not quite right about her. And, the jail thing. I'd say you are doin way better than Martha!
The breakfast looks yummy though. I'd like some right now!
Cocktail is rich with protein so you can use as food and A quality protein shakes will fight against infections. Our body needs appropriate amounts of protein. It is the second important necessity for our body after water. Some people think that it's just for body builders but actually it is not so. It can be consumed by anybody. Protein powders are designed in such a way that it can boost the immune system.
Breakfast smoothies are so easy to digest, and they don't leave me feeling full all morning, I can just pee them away and not be hungry.
Hm. Interesting.
Nuts on toast.
Um.
Nah, I'll pass ;)
MMMMMMM! delish ! I can't wait to try! :)
Hmmm. That looks good. I usually just sprinkle some blueberry granola into my greek yogurt, but I may have to try this!
That looks really good. I will have to try that someday.
Mmm, that looks good. I love Greek yogurt- though it took a little while for me to get used to it.

I'm definitely a smoothie girl (and a skinny chick wannabe) but this looks pretty darn good. Simple, easy and delicious.
BTW - I'm a huge Martha Stewart fan too, even when it wasn't cool and she was doing time :)
OMG! This looks so good. I'd probably use almonds or walnuts, but all the same, I think I might have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
Martha is one weird lady...not sure why I don't like her.
The breakfast toast looks yummy!
I agree about something not quite fair about Martha, I wonder how many outtakes we DON'T see in her perfection of every stinkin thing sh does lol...
Mmmmmmm, looks good.
Martha's not so perfect (ahem, jail) and she's definitely NOT a super model. Just sayin'.
I keep a freezer full of frozen fruit for those smoothies. I like the colder texture in the smoothies and I'm not so pressed to keep fresh fruit for them. During the summer, we freeze lots of our own - spread it on waxed paper until it's frozen, then into a container it goes!

What!? I love all of those things! That looks really yummy!
I'm a total fail at eating breakfast and seeing as it is the most important meal of the day, I should really do it more often. Maybe I will try this tomorrow. :) (We actually have all that stuff at home!)
I know she went to jail but when it comes to food and recipes I too am a fan of Martha. Her cupcakes recipe book is my go to place when I need to make some comfort food but I try and resist as I am the one who ends up eating them all! This recipe sounds fabulous - I love Greek yogurt and honey! I am also going to try out those smoothies you mention too.
I guess it would defeat the purpose if I substituted the yogurt with cream cheese, huh?!
Looks great...okay, I'm not crazy about yogurt but maybe low fat cream cheese would sub for that! I love anything with nuts (that didn't sound dirty right?) LOL
This looks awesome and I just went over your last few posts - I haven't been around here in a couple of days. How scary! I started watermarking a while ago, anything with my family in it, because I got kind of scared. Thank you for passing on the information, though. The internet can be a scary place!
I am for sure trying this. It is right up my alley!!!
Martha Stewart can kiss my arse.
Yummmmmy! I'd much rather have something like this than bacon and eggs. Thanks for the suggestion.
I think Martha is not even real. She can't be. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. But, I love her and this looks like a yummy breakfast. If I like it, will add to my cooking blog! Will try it and follow you. :)
I read Alyssa's post about the ugly kids...LOL
I never would have thought of the yogurt/toast thing!
I still have one container of Greek yogurt from trying out a new pot pie dish using greek yogurt. I've never tried it with toast. What a great idea!
Erin, I read over at Deb's Menopausal Mom about another blogger stealing your blog's content. I left a comment advising people how to use a code to deter others from stealing published contents and Deb advised that I write an informative post about it in which I did. I hope the information I provided will help you and other bloggers prevent content theft.
I would love it and eat it if someone else fixed it for me. Talk about running late........I am running so late that all I have time for is getting a bagel out of the bag and eating it as is!!
I would marry Greek Yogurt if it was legal. I love this idea, thanks!
I have such trouble making myself breakfast AND lunch. Luckily I landed on Quaker Oatmeal Squares and have been eating them every day since December.
That looks like a very exotic breakfast compared to cold cereal.
Oh wow... that looks Yum!!
Must give that a try ;)
I am not a yogurt fan. Makes me sick. But I'm sure it's a great recipe! :)
Well, aside from the nuts...I could do that. I can't eat nuts combined with anything. Is that crazy? shhhh
Looks yum!
Im always running late too! I usually just grab a Slim Fast bar.
I never would have thought to put pistachios and yogurt on toast. It actually looks really good!
Look at you going all Martha Stewart on us! It does look somewhat tasty, but your smoothy sounds better to me:)
This sounds like something that I would really enjoy!
That actually sounds great! Minus the nuts. Not a fan of the nuts.
I haven't had time in my day until now to comment on this. But, I saw your post earlier today and was on my way to the grocery. I got the ingredients and concocted this as soon as I walked in the door.
Delicious!
Thanks for the great tip.
I would actually put down my twinkie to try that!
That breakfast looks divine!
Just hoped over from Bloggin 2 Noggin. Love your blog. I'm now following. I hope you can follow my blog as well.

MMMM... That looks yummy! I'm going to try it!
That looks really good and even I can't burn that! Definitely gonna try it!
Hmmmmmm wonder how pecans would work.
Looks good anyways
I have tickets to Martha's show in a couple of weeks. How much do you think I'll have to put out to pay Hubs back for that one?
That looks SO good. Thanks for sharing!
That looks SO good. Thanks for sharing!
I hear you, it sounds wonderful, I just read about how good a banana is for your health and I'm hungry and grumpy because its freaking 5:17 in the am and I haven't been able to sleep since 3...so I'm having a banana and I'll make the smoothie..later..like my hips need it..
