p.s. For those of you who are clutching your throats in sheer horror and gasping, "She lets her kids listen to Britney? What kind of mother is she?" I'll have you know it's mostly Laurie Berkner, Funky Mama, The Doo Dads, and Mr.Stinky Feet around here. But when I work out and get my Mom Sexy on (go visit The Mommyologist if you have no idea what I'm talking about), I listen to Mommy Music. End of rant.

Oh my gosh! Abby and Izzie are the spittin' images of my twin sis and I (although a different shade of color).
We would say our names together as if we were one person too. We always either finished each other's sentences or said it at the same time. We had the same likes (most of the time).
Like Abby and Izzie, we loved to sing and thought we'd take it on the road one day! (It never happened but it was nice to dream.)

Love it-We have an old mix cd that we listen to in the car that has the Britney Spears Hit Me Baby One More Time song on it. My kids (3 boys-5 and twin 2 yr olds) have changed up the words and like to sing "Hit YOUR baby one more time!" They always like to do it in the best places, like the middle of the grocery store at teh top of theri lungs!
It's like an echo with those two! I remember Laurie Berkner she had some really fun songs, at first, and then after a while I would beg for the likes of Britney Spears.

You know me and my son play Britney, Lady Gaga (his gfs) Madonna, JT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and all kinds of unconventional for kids music. He heard it when he was in my belly, he doesn't like twinkle twinkle he wants to ROCK! :]

We generally listen to mommy music...but that is harder with an 8 year old and a 2 year old...the 8 year old wants Taylor Swift and such.
Anyway, when Joe was younger he used to tell everyone that redneck woman was our song.
Don't worry-- I totally listen to pop music with my daughter. I can't help it! It's what I love.
